Dogs of columbus and central ohio, we need you!

Each year, pet photographers around the world unite to raise funds for animal charity. To date, the annual Tails of the World books have featured over 1150 dogs and raised over $95,000 for charity.

In 2024, our goal is to raise over $70,000 Tails of the World: Volume Three.

But we need your help!

Ash and Alder Photography has been selected as the official 2024 photographer and we’re now taking applications for limited edition Tails of the World: dog photoshoots. These photoshoots will take place in the heart of Ohio, capturing something unique about Columbus and central Ohio. Popular locations include: Park of Roses, Bicentennial Park, Bridge Park, German Village, Schiller Park, Goodale Park, and the list goes on.

100% of these session fees are donated to Speak! for the Unspoken and one photo from each session is guaranteed to be included in the book. All proceeds from the book sales are donated to Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc. You’ll also have the opportunity to view and purchase keepsake photographic artwork from your unique doggy photoshoot.

$100 session fee

~ 100% of the Session Donation goes to Speak for the Unspoken.
~ Dates available from mid-May to August.
~ Sessions are shortened to 30 minutes and take place in Columbus and central Ohio
~Up to three dogs can be photographed, however due to the short time frame of the photoshoot, an upgraded full session is required for more than one dog.
~ One image from each session will be included in the Tails of the World book (available to order online in December 2024)
~ Prints, products and digital files are not included. Prints start at 3 for $295 - click here to view the price list.

About the charities

All book sale proceeds are donated to Second Chance Animal Rescue. This Australian based not-for-profit organisation has a network of hundreds of foster carers and volunteers. Over the years, they have rescued and rehabilitated well over 10,000 pets due to be euthanised at pounds and shelters. Their mission is to offer these animals a Second Chance at finding their forever homes.

Special Needs & Good Deeds Rescue

SPEAK! for the Unspoken is a registered 501(c)(3) pet rescue located in the Columbus, Ohio area. We are a 100% foster-based rescue, devoted to special needs animal rescue and education. We focus our rescue efforts on special needs dogs and cats, double merle dogs born with vision and/or hearing deficits due to poor breeding practices. We believe special needs dogs can live happy and healthy lives, and until the careless breeding stops, we will continue to find these special dogs the homes they deserve.
