Tails of the World: Volume 2

Tails of the World: Volume 2

Tails of the World™ is an international collective of professional pet photographers, united in our mission to make a difference for animals in need.

In 2023 we raised over $65,000 for animal charities by photographing dogs in our local towns and cities. This is the result: 785 dogs, 74 photographers and 14 countries, all in one big, beautiful book.

This is a celebration of dog. The adventurous dogs. The cuddly dogs. The goofy dogs. The old dogs. The shy dogs. The head-tilting, tail-wagging, tongue-lolling dogs.
We love them all.

All proceeds from the sale of this book is donated to Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc.

Dear Animal Lovers,

We're thrilled to share a heartwarming tale of passion, purpose, and the paw-some power of photography! Here at Ash and Alder Pet Photography, we recently embarked on a remarkable journey, and we're excited to bring you along for the ride.

It all began when we heard about the "Tails of the World Book: Volume 2," a collaborative project aimed at supporting animal charities around the world. Tails of the World was founded by Caitlin J. McColl, a multi-award winning professional pet photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. We knew immediately that we wanted to be a part of it, and thus began our adventure of capturing the essence of Columbus' beloved pets against the backdrop of our beautiful city. Proceeds from our sessions benefited PROdogs Ohio.

Tails from Columbus, Ohio

From the moment we set out, we were met with wagging tails, wet noses, and boundless enthusiasm. Each dog that participated brought its own unique charm and personality to the photoshoots, making every moment a joyous occasion. Whether it was Luke, the spirited Poodle, prancing through the roses at Whetsone, or Lenny, the gentle Boxer, striking a regal pose against the flowing waterfall at Quarry Trails, every dog had a story to tell, and we were honored to help tell it.

But it wasn't just about the dogs; it was about the connections we formed with their devoted owners. We shared stories, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the bond between humans and animals. It was a reminder of the love and companionship that our furry friends bring into our lives each and every day.

As we traversed the scenic locations around Columbus, from the tranquil waters of Darby Bend Lakes to the bustling city life on the streets of Dublin’s Bridge Park, we were reminded of the beauty and diversity of our city. Each location served as the perfect backdrop for our four-legged models, showcasing both the splendor of nature and the spirit of our community.

The entire experience was nothing short of magical, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of making a difference. And now that the "Tails of the World Book: Volume 2" is finally unveiled, it is a moment of triumph for us all. To see our city through the eyes of its furry residents, immortalized in vibrant photographs, is a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion.

But our journey doesn't end here. We're already gearing up for "Tails of the World Book: Volume 3," and we couldn't be more excited to continue our mission of showcasing the beauty of Columbus and supporting its beloved animals. So, if you're as passionate about pets and photography as we are, we invite you to join us on this paw-some adventure! Just fill out the form below.

Together, we can make a difference, one wagging tail at a time.
